OVERVIEW:

The Logistics Analyst II will assist in the management of DSG’s Parcel and eCommerce Logistics team’s operational and strategic initiatives by playing a key role in the creation and maintenance of parcel KPI and financial metrics reporting. The analyst will collaborate with both internal and external customers to explore logistics and financial initiatives that are beneficial to all parties involved. The analyst will develop and track metrics that identify the strategic needs of the company and will provide analysis to support the management of service and cost.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze parcel dashboard and financial reporting monthly, scorecarding carriers, recapping spend, explaining shifts in volume and identifying opportunities for improvement. Gather & maintain key performance & financial metrics to review with internal partners.

  • Provide DC and Market Fulfilment Center operational support. Provide logistical support to the eCommerce team to drive current and future initiatives through optimization analysis balancing cost and service. Tasks will include gathering and analyzing data and documenting processes. Develop and execute peak season plans.

  • Plan & track licensed special deliveries/hot market shipments for NFL, NCAA, NHL, NBA & MLB during the playoff seasons and provide shipment updates to leadership teams. Hot market requires extreme attention to detail and the ability to flex when there are changes to the buying plan. Work outside of normal business hours is required during hot market events. This role provides primary hot market support.

  • Active engagement in the management of DSG's Parcel Business through service contract performance and expense reviews with parcel spend management vendor.

  • Partner with departments within the organization to utilize the DSG parcel accounts in an effort to increase overall parcel volume and provide cost savings to the company; perform analysis and provide findings to support the change in service. Manage the set-up of new parcel accounts; maintain accurate coding for accounts and resolve invoice coding discrepancies timely.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year college degree with a focus in Business, Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain.

  • Experience: 3-5 years - Knowledge of the transportation industry, with a focus in retail and eCommerce

  • Transportation Management System

  • FedEx Automation Solutions (ShipManager, Toolbox, Insight, etc.)

  • Excellent written & Verbal Communication Skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Problem solving & troubleshooting capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal & client consultation skills

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analysis

  • Strong analytical aptitude with a working knowledge of logistics

  • Ability to assess business challenges and opportunities and identify solutions or build processes to support them

  • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams

  • Customer/athlete focused with strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
