OVERVIEW:

Summary Description

The Manager of Development completes store lease exhibits and right-to-builds through developers, Legal department, outside attorneys and Planning/Construction group by required date. They are responsible for a $1.0 M budget, building lease costs, and store construction costs and store lease costs are impacted by independent decision-making.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Achieve developer approval through outside attorneys and in partnership with the Legal Department, Construction, and Planning Groups on the required dates in the development report on lease exhibits

Negotiate and coordinate the Planning Group’s preliminary building design with the developer’s site plan to achieve Dick’s prototype requirement

Develop preliminary construction costs for the conversion of existing buildings for the Construction group’s review and sign-off

Resolve right-to-build issues and report the status through the tracking report and attend planning and zoning meetings

Assist in producing required documentation for real estate trips, real estate site evaluations and pre-real estate committee meetings

Issue a critical points summary for completed lease exhibits (i.e., landlord reimbursement, prototype identification, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5-7 years of construction experience

  • Background in multi-unit retail site development

  • Strong negotiating and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent self-organizational and administrative skills
